About Me

Hey!

Love traveling, meeting new people, doing outdoors activities and going to museums and art shows.

I am French, I lived in a few places and now I study in Ontario, Canada.

I am in a program in World literatures and Cultures and will be starting a PhD in Spanish in September.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I cannot accept guests for now because of my housing, but by September I should be able to!

I am used to stay in hostels and sleep in dorms, and, each time, I really enjoyed meeting new people from around the world. I met some amazing people everywhere I went for a short or long stay and new friendships were born.

For my next trip, I wanted to try something new and I heard positive feedbacks for CS. So, here I am!

Interests

I am an eclectic person, so my interests vary a lot.

Sports: I love working out and it is part of my daily life, outside or at the gym I just love it! I started kickboxing last year, I run a lot -any place I visit I always go jogging-, I bike, I dance (even if I still need to improve my moves!) -especially salsa or cumbia, takes me back to Mexico-, I stunt for cheerleading -part of my Canadian experience!

Arts: Writing is part of my like as much as sports are. I write anywhere, any time, when inspiration comes. I have already published a few texts (short stories, poetry, essays) and wish to keep going and improve myself every day. Of course, I love reading, if I can in the original language. I enjoy going to museums (from sciences to modern paintings) and art shows -right now I really like Slam Poetry shows.
I also play some guitar, but I am definitely not an expert!

Travel: Discovering cultures, any aspect of it, meeting people, traveling on my own, with friends or family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Bohemian Rhapsody, a classic

Movie: Qu'est-ce-qu'on a fait au bon Dieu? -that's the lastest one I found really funny, caricaturing the French melting-pot culture.

Book: Mercure by Amélie Nothomb

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In one of my pictures, you can see a parrot and me, a little scared.

This was one of my very first steps to stop being scared of birds and the parrot was talking to me (or maybe mocking! but it counts). It is pretty amazing for me.
