About Me

I am from Denmark where I study anthropology at the university. Right now I'm finishing my last semester of my bachelor degree at University of the sunshine coast, where I do courses in climate change adaptation, development, sustainability and green justice. My plan is to do a master degree in disaster management in England. But first I'm taking a year off to travel around Asia and South America and to do an internship in Nepal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I like to meet people from the country I'm visiting and it is a nice mix instead of always staying at hostels.

Interests

I am a travel addict, and backpack as much as I can.
I love the outdoor, and recently started to rock climb, which I love!
I love sports, and have played handball for years (not anymore, my body got to old for it).
Half full rather than half empty kind of person.
I love to meet new people (surprise! Bet you don't hear that often in here).
A good book is always a good companion.
Quality before quantity!
I cannot pass a dog without saying hello to it, or almost any other kind of animal.
I'm very adventurous, I like to explore, feel, taste, smell, and listen to a country.
Love a good laugh, but who doesn't?

My biggest flaw: I don't play any instrument! I know, it's awfull, and it's something I have to live with every day, but hopefully one day it will change. A girl are allowed to dream right ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to listen to music and I hear a lot of different kind of genres.

I love to watch a good movie, but I don't like the kind that has a predictable happy ending, I liked to be left surprised at the end and full of emotions.

I find it difficult to choose a favorite book, because there are so many good ones. But the one that I always recommend to people when they ask are "the 100 year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared", and yes, it is just as awesome as the title sounds. So even if you are not thinking we will be a good match to welcome me into your home, please just read that book. I promise you, that you will smile your whole way through it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked to Mt. Everest Base Camp - and I loved it! You should totally do it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to swear in Danish (but to be honest, I'm just going to pretend that, that is what I'm teaching you, but in reality I'm teaching you to say kind compliments to people. Because let's face it, that is just more nice to hear. And it is more fun for me)

What I can learn from a stay at your place, hm, well I guess that depends on what you can teach! Touché Couchsurfing!

We can share experiences about this lovely country and the rest of the countries in the world, and the people who live in them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good night over a shared bottle of something (wine, soda, water, I like it all)
