Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hey everyone :) I was recommended couchsurfing by a friend a long time ago and I always love to make new connections and meet new people, so I thought I'd sign up and I'm so grateful that I did. I love the concept and culture of Couchsurfing and it has introduced me to so many wonderful people around the world.

April/May 2016 - I embarked on a journey across the USA starting in Los Angeles and finishing in New York. I took a train from LA to Chicago for 43hrs and another one from Chicago to New York for 19hrs. Trains are my favourite mode of transport and I would love to experience the bullet trains of Japan one day.

I've toured with my band, Ivan Campo, around Spain in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020 (only half a tour), 2023 and 2024. Always have an amazing time and make sure I get to meet lots of Couchsurfers along the way :)

Went on a month long road trip all over France in August 2019.

Currently planning an epic train journey around Norway.

Interests

Music - playing guitar, going to watch live music, or just listening at home, I enjoy getting lost in books, going for long bike rides around a city or in the countryside, walking / hiking, running, swimming, cooking, baking, watching a good film, sharing stories, meeting new people and learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy and listen to a wide variety of music. I love to watch thought provoking documentary films; lose myself in fictional films, or see the world from a new perspective in international films. Love a good book recommendation, favourite authors are Haruki Murakami, Roald Dahl and Philip Pullman. Recently read 'Underland' by Robert Macfarlane and 'Haunts of a Black Masseur' by Charles Sprawson - both extremely thought provoking and have inspired me to go on more adventures.

I was invited to Los Angeles to play James Bond in the Epic Rap Battles of History YouTube series.
