My name is Miaomiao (pronounced mee-ow mee-ow, like the cat sound). I'm a Singaporean student who has been studying in the UK for four years. To know me in a nutshell: I'm a massive lover of animals, almond milk and the smell of sunblock. I'm really not that complicated and I'm always keen on chatting about nothing over some pinot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went on a month-long trip around Europe in the summer of 2014 and felt that I really built my character as a person in the short span of 27 days. I'm really hoping to establish a network of friends all over the world and (even if it's only once a year) keep in touch through e-/snail mail.

I am travelling to New York for the first time in June 2016, and really want to meet and mingle with the locals.

Interests

On a more nerdy side, I'm really into visual neuroscience. I really hope to produce research that's capable of advancing the technology involved in reviving vision in blind patients in the future.

I love Grimes as in the artist. The genre's okay too. I also have a weakness for Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz in the summer. Basically I have a favourite song for most artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've bungee jumped in New Zealand. I also ate deep fried silk worm larvae in China. I also once had 21 missed calls from my mum and lived.
