About Me

Здравейте (hello in Bulgarian). I am Bilyana, born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria.

I have a bachelor's degree in tourism but I'm currently working something different. Apart of that, I am a travel blogger and I'm usually doing many things at the same time.

Of course, I love traveling and it has been always my passion. Besides traveling, I love hiking, bicycling, reading. I'm very interested in self-development.

You can read more about me and my travels and my travel tips on my blog

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe that Couchsurfing is a great way to meet other like-minded people. Also, I love the idea of being hosted and have the opportunity to stay at someone's local place, which is completely different than just staying in a hotel.

For me, Couchsurfing is an awesome experience and one of the best ways to really dive into the local culture.

The one thing that I don't like about Couchsurfing is the hidden Sexsurfing community here. There are other dating sites out there, people, use them!! I've had this kind of experience and because I'm not here for that, I now always mention it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: From electronic to rock, jazz, classic, hip-hop and pretty much everything 😀

Movies: Unfortunately, there are no good movies lately. Some of my favorites are Prestige, Wild tales and Oldueboi. Others that I like include The gone girl, The gift, The game, Pulp fiction, Fight club, Requiem for a dream, I saw the devil, and many more but I'm always forgetting their names. :(

Recently, I am watching lots of Korean movies.

Books: My preferred books to read at the moment are self development ones, as The 7 habits of the highly effective people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling alone, I think this is really one of the most amazing things I've ever done. That way, I've been able to learn so many things about myself and not only.

Ha Giang Extreme Motorbike Loop

Teach, Learn, Share

There are so many things I would love to learn. I want to learn Spanish. Also, I would love to learn how to cook different cuisines from around the world.
I can teach you some Bulgarian folklore dances :))
Exchange languages, stories, recipes. ..

What I Can Share with Hosts

With my hosts I can share stories, experience, knowledge, food. I love to be able to spend time with my hosts, especially if they are people passionate about the place they live in and they love the idea of showing the best of it. However, I understand that everyone has he's own life and hosts are often not available to spend lots of time with their surfers and that's totally fine as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
