Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie maker is Alejandro Jodorowsky, I like Martin Scorcese, Sono Sion and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Musically I am very eclectic, from techno to traditionnal music, especially italian traditionnal music, I am passionate of Pizzica and Tarantella, here is the link of the FB group i created: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pizzicatarantella/. I like Italian Litterature mostly, the poems of Pasolini, "la Bella estate" of Pavese... I also like Bukowski and Louis Calaferte, a french-italian writer that has been a revelation to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was like 13 yo and in my hometown, a former working class neighbourhood was about to be destroyed by the municipality and there was still people living in there and they didn't want to be expelled, this place had a very important place to their hearts and historically it was a remain of the industrial past of my town, so, when came the day the caterpilars were supposed to destroy it, we made a big party with wine and music and some good food, it was amazing and there was a band of gipsy music playing, and they invited me to play because one of the guys knew me, I took the guitar and played gipsy jazz like I've never been playing before, I had a standing ovation and my parents were crying of happiness, I was so proud, finally this neighbourhood still exists and has been renovated by the muncipality, everytime i see these beautiful"corons" (small houses in red bricks typical of the north of France), I think about that moment and it fills me with pride!
