Hi! I'm Darius, nineteen years old, and right now I live in Antwerp (Belgium).
As of september I'll be living and studying in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) and from that moment on I would gladly receive guests. Untill then, I would love to show you around Antwerp but unfortunately I have no room for sleepovers.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

There are two reasons -at least- for me to be on Couchsurfing.
The first one is because I would love to travel all around the world, and sniff all sorts of culture. I believe that to really get to know a certain region or city, you should meet up with locals and get to see the place through their eyes. Because of this I would like to hang out with couchsurfers when visting a new region, instead of sleeping in lonesome hotels.

The second reason I'm here is because I would love to show people around in the low countries. As a history (and art) buff I try to know a lot about my surroundings, and I would love to guide you through historic streets or quirky museums. Hook me up if you ever need a tourguide!

I am interested in art, music, history, philosophy, literature, and nature. Therefore, my ideal holiday consists of travelling to interesting places, visiting museums, concerts, festivals, and meeting interesting people to share a lovely view, a lovely brew, a fabulous meal, or an interesting thought with.

Musically speaking my interest primarily goes out towards Classical, Metal, Jazz, Blues, and Rock, a few of my favourite books are Ulysses by James Joyce, La Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri, and De Kellner & de levenden by Simon Vestdijk, movie-wise my favourite has to be either Der Himmel Über Berlin or Una Giornata Particolare, and my favourite painter is Jheronimus Bosch. But let us discuss this in real life, lists aren't worth a damn thing because I always want to add or change something.
