About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Traveling. I know that I can't see everything, so I try not to go just to see a place, but rather experience it and its unique atmosphere and make the most out of every trip.
Also to pass my studies, but that's not so important.

ABOUT ME
**I'm currently not able to host anyone because I live with my family of 5, so it would be pretty hard. Still, I'd love to meet up.**
As of now, I study IT in Warsaw. I know the city quite well - even though I don't technically live in it - because ever since middle school my entire social life was happening somewhere in Warsaw.
I consider myself open-minded, caring (well, when it's needed) and optimistic. Maybe too optimistic.

PHILOSOPHY
I think that everyone should leave the world better than it was when they were born, and that's what I try to do. Maybe this is partially why I'm on CS.
Carpe diem, they say. Clichè, I know, but I think these words are something to try to live by. I'm basically never sad and I think that people tend to overcomplicate things.
Yeah, that's me. More or less.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet wonderful people from all over the world.

Interests

Traveling - in the best way possible of course. Which means the cheapest. One - you don't spend so much money (duh); two - it leads to some wonderful adventures. Obviously hitchhiking and CS (or sleeping in a tent; or in a park in the middle of the city; or on a beach) are ways to go about. Also, I almost never have a travel plan (besides where I begin and where I end) - in my opinion this allows for taking the most pleasure out of your journey. You go where you want to, to a place which seems interesting or which someone recommends. And you don't have to be in a hurry, because you don't need to be anywhere. Isn't that great?

Playing guitar - been doing it since I was 15. Am I any good? No idea. I like to tell myself that though. In the end, it doesn't matter - I love playing that instrument. That's it.

Listening to music - and discovering new bands (thank you Spotify!!!). Whenever I can I try to go to concerts of bands that I love.

Football - both watching and playing. I play in an amateur five-a-side league in Warsaw as a goalkeeper. Bit weird considering my height (tip: I'm not amazingly tall).

Movies - my most recently found passion, which means I still have lots of things to learn about it. And that's wonderful.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
My favorite genre is blues (maybe more blues rock than classic blues) and everything that derives from it (which in fairness is quite a lot). But I can't say I'm overly attached to that kind of music. I have some guilty pleasures with Ed Sheeran being the most prominent. My "proper" favorite performers are (some out of many) Blues Pills, Eric Clapton, The Stubs, Jimi Hendrix, Radio Moscow, Ørganek and so on. But without a doubt my most beloved is John Mayer. If you say he's not the best guitarist of this generation then... Well, I'll disagree with you.

MOVIES
Can't say that I have a favorite genre or one favorite movie. "Grave of the fireflies", "Fight club", "Shawshank redemption", "Inside out" would probably be somewhere up there. Generally I'm looking for movies that are thought-provoking or incite some emotions in me.

BOOKS
"Little Prince" is my personal 'best book ever'. And it gets better every time I read it. Other than that... "Blindsight" is quite an insightful sf book. As a kid I read mostly fantasy so now I have a lot of catching up with the classics to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hopefully that's still ahead of me, but for now... Probably my trip around Morocco would take the first place.
