I'm quite a nerd, I really like what I do and it takes most of my time. I live at med-school essentially, at the lab mostly but I also teach.
That said, I'm essentially quiet and easygoing. I enjoy music and reading a lot, art in general I'd say, I try to expand my tastes as much as I can. I was a rock fiend once but somewhere along the way I got the bug for jazz (trad and contemporary), funk, R&B, soul, classic, tango (a must for argentinians), lots of different folks from around the globe... I could go on but I think I got my message out. I'm always open for something new. The same thing applies for any kind of art in the end.
I'm also a bit addicted to running. I like to keep active, I spend long hours sitting or very still at work and I need to move in the end. My body complains if I don't.

I love traveling and being a researcher doesn't pay much, specially if you come from a third world country. This is a great option to do it and meet cool people in the way. Many friends and relatives have related to me essentially good things.

兴趣

I have said it in the about sectionbut I'll repeat myself a bit.
My main interest is in neuroscience. Specifically in understanding neurodegenerative diseases and what can be done to solve them.
Second comes art. Music (I do everything listening to music) and literature leading the way but I also love plastic arts and the cinema.
One last thing that I didn't mention. I love food, and to eat you need to learn how to cook. I always say that the kitchen is the house's lab.

Books: first latinamericans (always support locals), I'll honor authors who are the important ones:

Rest of the world: Bukowski, Asimov, Welles, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Wilde, Tabucchi, Victor Hugo

Music:
Now I listen jazz and soul more than anything else. From super trad/rag like Muggsy Spanier to classics like The Duke, Gershwin, Porter, the swing and big band geniuses: the count, Gillespie or Miles Davis in bop to fusion like Resturn to forever or Snarky Puppy this days. Personal soul/R&B/funk favourites: Otis, Aretha, The JBs, Dinah Washington... I could go on. As I said, this changes, I'm into any rock based music from progressive to metal, I usually prefer older things but anything might work.
A special mention to brazilian music, bossa mostly and Tango (classic and pos Piazzola). Argentinians musts (some musicians that were always right in their long careers): Pappo, Spinetta, Charly García, Mercedes Sosa.

I'm not a talkative person but I love to share the differences of how we live in different parts of the world. I'm a very open guy and to know how people is is more than interesting for me. It's always enriching for me to learn what people does, reads and listens to. So much new things to know.
I have a million of nerdy neuronal facts. That applies to other subjects too. But, don't worry, I'll only name them on request.
Another interest in my travels is to know the local food, I'm always willing to offer my little knowledge in this if Argentinian food sounds interesting. Another thing, I usually carry a mate (south american infusion) with me which is unknown to most people.
An in-house M.D. Most times It isn't much, there's little that one can do without the ability to write a presciption or without access a hospital and such but it might come handy.
