Hey everyone :)

I am Elif, 26 years old, and currently studying Neurocognitive Psychology MSc in Oldenburg, Germany. I love music, especially singing and playing the piano. I love musicals, and especially performing them. Other than that, Iove watching movies, cooking, trying food from different cultures, learning about different cultures and travelling.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love couchsurfing, because it is a rare environment that people can lean on on another. It's wonderful to host someone that you don't know at all with the best intentions of offering them a place, while getting to know that/ those people and learn (if possible) a bit from their life experiences. The best relationships are the ones that happen naturally and over time, so hopefully couchsurfing would be a means to achieve that too :)

Interessen

If I am to summarise my interests in two words, I would say theatre and music. I was first introduced to music though, not theatre, therefore I have much more knowledge and education in music, but I would still love an honest conversation about acting and theatre.

Other than that, I am interested in talking about people - why we do, the things we do. Well I guess that's why I studied psychology in the first place. I would love to hear stories from you too! I love a good drama :P

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I think, although a classic, I would say that my favourite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
And favourite movie is Call Me by Your Name. I just love everything about it. The cast, the colours, Italy, how arrogant but fragile Elio is. Everything.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I would say, performing. Although I still didn't get to perform in a way that completely fulfilled me, I just think it is an incredibly hard thing to just put yourself out there and show everyone what you have with the fear of being judged. Cause let's be honest, we all know that we will be :D

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Empathy, kindness and flexibility!
Some people I see here have certain ways or preferences for certain genders, couples or no couples, etc.

But in the end, we can learn something from whether the person is with a partner, a solo traveler, male, female, etc. Let's be inclusive!

I can share my stories, some Turkish food, some interesting things about the Turkish culture and most importantly, deep talks about life, art, fairness and politics :')
