Ok.. I am a typical woman from the Balkans, passionate, vibrant and energetic, in love with the schizophrenia of the Balkans for eternity. But it doesn`t mean that I don`t like the rest of the world. On the contrary.. I want to smell, taste, feel and touch the soul of the world.

Second, but not less important - I am a teacher, not the boring one, and that is something that constitutes me. My students use to say that I am "the best person in the world.".. To be honest, I am in love with love, a kind of "Dead Poets Society" teacher. And if I communicate with the world on a level of emotions, if I share love, the same I will get in return.

I have been teaching philosophy and theory of knowledge at International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for last several years, so as human rights at national program of education. To be more precise, I teach political philosophy and philosophy of religion (not theology! as many told me often!!) The rest of my time I am a single mom who volunteers a lot, in order to teach young people to overcome prejudices and stereotypes of "others", and to help, as much as I can, for this world to become a better place. When I told this to my colleagues in Greece, I got an interesting answer in return, "You have the Stockholm syndrome."

I can`t stand egoists..feel free to avoid contact with me if you feel that your Ego is more exclusive than anyone`s else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and to explore the world from different, non - standard dimension. I am more than willing to accept guest at my apartment too, if you decide to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Interests

My interests.. to teach and to help to other people. To create emotion of belonging to.. something beautiful.

Being aware of the fact that many people are in state of need is important to me. I will die as the last idealist in the world, I guess so.

When I have some free time, I like to write..I like to feel moves of my dancing fingers on a keyboard and flow of my thoughts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music.. I guess that you haven`t heard for the Croatian singer Nikola Marjanovic. I am in love with his voice. But beside his voice, I like many and various music styles..depends of moments. It might happen that I spend the night listening Leonard Cohen but the next day I might go with the flow with Iron Maiden.

Talking about books... Plato, my love. I read a lot and different things and it is really hard for me to chose exceptional writers. Plato, as the giant among giants of thoughts is my first love but here I would add Ellie Wiesel, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn, Anne Applebaum, Marriane Hirsch, Nietzsche, Marquez, Das Kapital :) and Marx, Hannah Arendt, Slavuj Zizek and many others..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If you take me out for a coffee or a drink somewhere, I can tell you how many amazing things I`ve done.

But.. no matter of everything that I`ve experienced, nothing can be compared with the fact that I teach my students to become good people...and global citizens.

I can teach you words from the Balkans languages (although they are almost the same), I can show you my hometown, I can take you out for a coffee or a drink, if you would like to, I can teach you about many different things in the field of philosophy..or we can laugh together and share emotion of the moment.

And, of course, I can offer you a tasty meal in my apartment.
