Hi, I'm Jan from Slovenia. I'm a quite relaxed guy who loves good food and traveling to great places around the world. I've traveled and met a lot of exciting people... they mostly remember me for my cooking skills :) I always interest people in trying different dishes made from yours truly and they all love them.

Even though I'm usually a shy and quiet guy I found my soulmate and got married last year and it's been the greatest year of my life. My wife and I have traveled a lot since we met and I intend to explore the world as much as I can :)

I'm quite new to couchsurfing... my sister's introduced me to it and made me realize what I had been missing until now. There is so much you can learn and share with the people you meet everywhere... I've never really experienced the true underbelly of my travel destinations and I look forward to meeting new people and see the world as they see it.

I think it is an incredible idea to meet locals while traveling and sharing ideas and experiences. It's one of the ways that help you appreciate traveling more, right?

I'm a trained tracker (long jumper) and I enjoy volleyball as well. Adventurous sports excite me as well, which is why I love trying the thrill rides in every theme park I visit, first.

I like experimenting in my kitchen every now and again and I make a mean ricotta and terragon potica (sweet, rolled cake) and fuzi with truffels (typical Istrian dish).

AI'm also quite the movie buff... my knowledge and love for movies ranges from romance to thrillers, from dramas to horror movies, you name it :)

I love all kinds of movies, but the James Bond franchise absolutely stands out as one of my favourites...also love Gotham, How to Get Away With Murder, Scandal, Chicago Fire, Desperate Housewives, Ally McBeal, The Nanny etc.

I don't get to read often, but when I do, I enjoy murder misteries and adventure features.

Last year, during our honeymoon, my wife and I went swimming and snorkeling in the Red Sea Reaf near Hurgada, Egypt.... Suddenly a school of dolphins approached and I ended up swimming with jumping dolphins in the middle of the ocean. It was truly an experience to treasure.
