About Me
Bonjour ! I’m Charlène, nice to meet you. After a master's degree in marketing and a first experience of 3 years in a food company in Paris, I've decided in septembre 2019 to travel by myself for few months in New Zealand.
Thanks to my parents, who live in a old house in the country side since I’m a kid, I like to be outside, to cook (my dad is a former chef), to make jams and pastries... Actually, I'm a huge fan of food (like all French, right?), so I love discover new products and recipes.
Even if I'm pretty curious about everything, I am really interested in permaculture, sustainable / clean energies, organic farming... Anything that can help us be better for our environment.
And I also enjoy to meet new people around the world, to have a nice chat and learn from them. That's why I had several volunteering/wwoofing experiences since I'm New Zealand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just had one experience in couchsurfing with some friends, few years ago in Montreal, Canada. It was a pleasant way to visit the city and I had a pretty good stay thanks to François, our host. Like I said, I also had wwoofing experiences in New Zealand. Most amazing times, so far, in the country! I stayed with really nice people and families. We shared days, meals, daily life for weeks... and this is how I want to travel: to have the chance to meet locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Not a nice question for me because I like to listen all kind of music (from Muse to Beyoncé, from electro to rap), to watch all kind of movies and read all kind of books. I've a lack of references in cimena but I catch me up by reading a lot of books (thanks daily subway paths for that!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Northern lights in Iceland. No words for that. I'm just glad to live it!
