Overview
About Me
I was working as a journalist for 10 years and in the meantime I finished the University and started to work as an IT Help Desk Assistant as well. After I was being promoted and then went from KPMG to Microsoft I felt I don't want to work in the IT support industry any more. So I decided to quit finally however I didn't have a new role anywhere.
I went through so many changes in my life through the past years (especially after starting to practice Ashtanga yoga on a daily basis) and now I'd like to get as many experiences I can and at the same time find out what would be the right job (or rather call it a vocation) for me right now. I started a blog a few months ago and I really enjoy writing about personal changes as - based on the feedbacks - most of us have the same challgenges in our lives.
I've been collecting and exploring music since 1993. Although I listened to many genres and styles (from metal through punk to drum'n'bass) I prefer Goa Trance, PsyTrance and different Ambient styles (Psybient, Chillout, Downtempo) nowadays. But it doesn't mean I'm not open to anything new, on the contrary!
I went vegetarian in autumn, 2014 and after one and a half years now I try to follow a vegan diet and lifestyle to protect animals from suffering and dying - and also to save as much green area and water as I can.
I don't really have a bucket list (yet), but I would like to visit New York City as it appears in my dreams since I was a teenager and I want to figure out what should I do there. I'm also interested in visiting Indonesia, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Japan and Portugal :) I would love to go back to Switzerland and India as well in the future and apart from New York City my second biggest dream is to drive through the West Coast in California with an american muscle car (or a Tesla hell yeah!) :)
I really love minimalism and tidiness!
My favourite cuisines: Indian, Israeli and Italian. Some said I would prefer Portugese as well, I haven't yet tried it out :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I registered mainly to find accomodations in different parts of our World, but I'm also interested in accepting guests. Based on my experiences I had in India with yoga practitioners from all over the World I would love to meet new people from different cultures and/or countries.
My small flat is a kind of minimalistic in case of stuffs and furniture. It contains a huge double bed for two persons, but of course I can sleep on the floor as most of the guests don't want to sleep in the same bed with the host :) The apartment is sadly quite far from the inner city or call it downtown so You have to travel around 45-50 minutes with public transport to reach that part of the city. It means a bus+local train(HÉV)+tram combination.

Movies:
======
I don't really have one or two favourite movie(s), but if I have to select a few from what I've seen I would choose these: The Matrix, Deja Vu, Back To The Future trilogy, Everybody's Fine, The Truman Show, Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Favourite actors: Denzel Washington, Jim Carrey and Robert de Niro
Books:
=====
When I was a teenager I hated to read because all of the required readings in school were boring and bad. A few years ago I decided to give another chance for this habit and I fell in love with books very quickly.
A few favourites:
Charles Duhigg: Power of Habit
Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now
Eckhart Tolle: A New Earth
Dan Millman: Way of the Peaceful Warrior
Dan Millman: Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior
Walter Isaacson: Steve Jobs
Robert Wringham: Escape Everything!
George Orwell: 1984
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Brave enought to quit the stressful everyday job into the big Nothing and go to India for five weeks with friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn a few words from your mother language and if You have some great vegan (or at least vegetarian) recipes we can cook something together - although I can't cook :)
If You're in Budapest, I can show You the most amazing vegan and vegetarian restaurants and bistros as well as the best coffee shops. If You like hiking, I can take You on some good trips nearby.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I'm not a teacher I can share with You the basic elements of the primary series and the physical heart of Ashtanga Yoga. If You're already practicing maybe we can assist each other or introduce the place or school we're practicing at.
You can also expect a wide variation of music collection from me if You're interested :) Melodies come with me wherever I go in the World.
