About Me

Whoever might be reading this, hello! I'm a 24 year old translation student. It should go without saying that I love languages. Now fluent might be a strong word, but as I'm studying these languages, I'm able to communicate in English and French apart from my native Slovene. If you're veeery patient with me, also in Romanian.
I love to laugh, meeting people from different cultures, having a late-night debate on life, the universe and everything, trying local beers and wines and visiting local landmarks.
I also have a special place in my heart for anime, which is why I've started (rather unsuccessfully) to learn Japanese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It took me a very long time to decide to join couchsurfing but after hearing nothing but great things about it from numerous friends, I thought why not. So here I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: From modern and a few decades old Rock to slightly more Metal-ish. Also a big fan of Classical music. I'm very enthusiastic about getting to know artists from countries I'm visiting (that is, anyone not singing in English). On the other hand, not a big fan of Rap and House music.
Movies: Comedies. Generally, if the film makes me laugh, I like it. I also love films (and TV series) made after good book series.
Books: Mostly fantasy literature. Especially YA fiction. You know, one has to stay young at heart.
Anime: My all-time favourite is Myself ; Yourself. If you know (and like) it, I already love you. Of the mainstream ones, I'm a big fan of Baka and Test, Death Note and Sword Art Online.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have two. Signing up for two Erasmus exchanges, experiencing how it feels to live in a different country for half a year, meeting locals and other foreign students. Being away from everyone you love and at the same time, getting to meet people you'll grow fond of.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Slovenia, United Kingdom
