As any post-secondary student will understand, I am accustomed to living life on a budget - this does not exclude travelling. But more than that, I want to experience new places to their full potential, not within a resort or a hotel. I like to connect with locals and other visitors to discover cool, unknown places to check out and to make new friends.

Starting a culinary club in an outreach school in Montreal. Who knew these outwardly angry, sarcastic teenagers could be such wizards in the kitchen! We had great fun coming up with new recipes to cook for 30-50 teenagers at a time, and I'm proud to say I cooked with the majority of the student body before the year was out. A few students even moved on to go to culinary school after having discovered this new talent in our school kitchen!
