About Me

Hi! I'm Jo. I'm from Rosario, Argentina and I'm studying law at the University.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because when I was hosting a woman from Switzerland told me about this. I knew her when I was working in the NGO, which she cross the ocean to came here and work. I made that possible and I felt exciting.

I remember she told me about that before we have all the things ready for go one weekend to another city. And that was my start of traveling with a friend.

My first impression about the site was: "Wow, sounds interesting." So I created an account but until now I updated the profile so I can use correctly.

I'm glad to have met Tanja and live that amazing experience with her and the other guys who did the same as her here in Argentina. I'm really grateful with her for her unconditionally open mind and kindness personality and share with me all these things.

I'm here because I want to continue that. I want to know about other cultures and people around the whole world and have the possibility to meet extraordinary people like I did and maybe make new friends.
And the most important, I want to still discovering things and learning about myself.

Interests

I'm interested in history, especially about the Wars and the Ancient Greece, Rome, and Nordic countries.
Also I enjoy learning about different cultures.
I like playing board games (my favorite game is Monopoly), playing roles in drama class, I like the theater. I like listening of music, reading, watching tv series or movies, writing story's. I like going out with my friends and trying new things.
I'm interested in politics, literature, some sports, the world situation, riding on my bike.
I love chocolate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Here are some of artists and bands I like:

Kodaline (my favorite).
Lenachka.
Scott Helman.
Jukebox the Ghost.
2Cellos.
Alicia Keys.
Celeste Buckingham.
AnnenMayKantereit.
Simple Plan.
Il Volo.

Extra: I love the sound of violin. And I find classical music relaxing.

Movies:

Cars. (My favorite).
How to train your dragon.
The hunger games.
A few good men.
Harry Potter.
The Interpreter.
Die welle.

I don't see maybe so much movies because I don't have enough time or I prefer doing another thing (but I love seeing when I go on the plane).
Besides movies I like seeing TV series, and in this case my favorites are:

Sherlock.
Sense8.

Books:

My favorite book is "El frío modifica la trayectoria de los peces." Pierre Szalowski.

Other important book is: "El último encuentro." Sándor Márai.

And of course: "The Hunger Games." Suzanne Collins.

If the plot catch me, I'll read it. But I'm not fan of romantic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done was visit Asia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach and share about my culture, help with the language and also I can help if someone want practice speak in English. Both we can practice and I'm learning German.

I want to learn about other cultures and customs. I would like to know how other people live and the different ways to see life. I would like learn about history and little but special things about other countries.

I'll share like I said before my culture, my way of see some things, my customs, a friendly conversation about lot of topics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with the housework. Also, yeah, share my customs and maybe teach some recipe typical from Argentina.
I have a lot of jokes to share also, and a good conversation about a lot of things.
