I'm currently an undergraduate university student studying for an Honours Double Major in Biology and Anthropology!

I've moved around a lot during my childhood. I was born in Japan and moved to Canada when I was 5. In Canada, I've lived in Winnipeg, Toronto, Hamilton, and Mississauga. Even within those cities, I've moved neighbourhoods. Because of that, I've been accustomed to having to make new friends and establish new social circles wherever I go. As such, I have groups of friends from each of those areas.

Regarding my activities, I absolutely LOVE running and working out! Physical exercise is very important to me and I want to enjoy the very peak of my youth before I get old. I do play sports with friends but cross-country running and sprinting have always been a favourite of mine! Besides physical activities, I absolutely love to do creative writing (I write short stories, poems, plan to write a novel, etc.) and especially public speaking. I have spoken in my university and I am in the process of joining Toastmasters, an international public speaking organization!

Going deeper, I am a Muslim and my religion is Islam. Practicing my religion and upholding its values of kindness, peace, love, modesty, honesty, and other virtues is of utmost importance to me. Islam is the heart of my life and I'd love to share the love of my beautiful religion with anyone! Especially for fellow Muslims, I think praying together, reading Qur'an together, and bonding with each other can be very valuable when becoming better Muslims and coming closer to God.

One thing I absolutely LOVE to do is to make new friends. I'm a very friendly, social, and outgoing person who wants to explore the world and make deep friendships around the world! Connections are what keeps alive the human spirit and I hope to establish close connections with friends around the entire world!

I wholeheartedly believe in couchsurfing's motto "You have friends all over the world, you just haven't met them yet". I am very interested to meet anyone who also has the passion to meet new friends and grow as a person. I am making it my personal mission in the prime of my youth (I just turned 20 this year) to meet these lifelong friends and make a global group of friends!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have visited Bangladesh and have spent 2 months there! I visited the capital city and then the rural areas! I got a chance to experience the city life and the village life simultaneously! Since my parents are from Bangladesh and I am ethnically a Bengali, I was able to revisit my roots! I found that very refreshing.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Learning
I love learning different physical disciplines (in addition to everything I have to learn in school or for education). I am planning to fully learn a martial art (I've done kung fu previously but discontinued after moving cities) and acrobatics. I'm also in the middle of getting my scuba diving certification so I'd love to learn more about that. And finally, I'm trying to re-learn Japanese because I forgot it ever since I moved to Canada.

Teaching
Not really a teacher but my favourite subject in school has always been English. As such, I guess I can show you a couple techniques in writing. I also love chess so I can teach you how to play and get good at it.

Socializing: This is probably the most important and my absolute favourite of all my hobbies. I absolutely LOVE to socialize and meet new friends. I would love to meet you, socialize with you, and develop a good friendship together.

Chess: I LOVE chess and have been playing since I was a little boy. I can play you in chess.

Writing: Creative writing has been a very huge passion of mine for a very long time. If you also have that passion, we can both share our written work and talk about new ideas.

Exercising: I love working out and going on runs! If you'd like to exercise together and go running through beautiful forestry trails, I am your man! I also love to go on long walks so we can do that and explore nearby places with one another

Cooking: Cooking together can be a good bonding experience. I do with my roommates and enjoy each other's company. I can help you with any cooking.

Praying: If you are also a Muslim, we can pray together since it is our religious requirement to pray 5 times a day. We can also read Qur'an (the holy book) together and spend time talking about our Deen (faith)!

Helping: Upholding good manners and etiquette is very important to me. As such, I will not merely visit and spend the night without helping you with any chores or work around the house. For such a huge favour and good deed, this is the least I could do.
