Greetings from Malaysia! Nice to meet you! My name is Ke Xin, I am currently an undergraduate in NTU Singapore.

I love photography, as with my bare eyes, I can only capture the picture for that moment. However, with a camera, I am capturing an eternal moment and also, a good memory. It always give me great satisfaction when seeing people looking into my camera while capturing their smiles.

I enjoy cooking as well, I used to cook Chinese dishes but I also enjoy trying new dishes, like spaghetti, beef, salad and anything. For me, a dish can usually help to understand one's culture and background. :)

My very first trip was a 35-days back-packing around Europe! It was a really treasure moment that I had met with all friendly, lovely people from all the country that I have been visited! Which made me had really fall in love with travelling!!

Current goal -> Travelling around the world
Ultimate goal -> Accommodate visitors from all around the world!!! Which might have to wait for a couple of time as I am currently not having free space in my room. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I aspire to leave my footprints in as many countries as possible, and make as many friends as I can while travelling. To me, travelling helps me to see the world in a different light and allows me to experience different cultures. These are the precious experiences that I can never take away from books. I have to go out there to venture and experience the world on my own. Be it good or bad experiences, I am sure it will always be part of my most cherished memories.

Honestly, words simply can’t describe how excited I was when I came across this couch-surfing app. Through this app, I know that there are many people in the world sharing the same thoughts as me. Both you and I, belonging to the same group - someone that would love to meet new people and make friends with them. Just imagine how fun it would be if we can stay together for a night or two, having a small talk over a couple of beers, or even doing some interesting activities together!

I may be a student who can’t afford a lot. However, I can promise you that I can give you things that can’t be bought with money. I can give you a precious memory of us spending quality time together. I can cook delicious Chinese cuisines for you. I can share my past experiences and adventures with you. Who knows, we may even be the best of pals in the future!

My dreams may seem too big, too far-fetched for now. But I believe, every small steps that I take, will lead me to the ultimate goal. I really hope to share my dreams with you, and having you around to help me accomplish it. In the future, when I look back, I will be grateful that you’ve been there supporting me, and having participated in making my dreams come true.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trail Hiking from Fira to Oia at Santorini!

It was an really crazy idea every time I think about it. We start our journey at around 11am as from the result we have googled, it is only a 3 hours journey. We aimed to catch the sunset at Oia which had been known as one of the prettiest sunset in the world but it turns out that after 6 hours and we still can't reach Oia! The sky have become darker and darker, and we have become tire and tire. At the end, we watch the sunset at half-way from Oia we found which is an "acceptably" spot for us. The view of the sunset is still good for us. But after the sunset, we come to the most serious problem - heading back to Fira which should take another 6 hours!!! My boyfriend suggested us to hitch-hiking and we are so glad and touch by the kindest drivers who agree to take us after a few times of fails hitch..
