Hi! My name is Florencia Milán and I grew up in Casilda, a small town in Argentina. I’m an English - Spanish translator and interpreter. I’ve been working as a full-time freelance translator for almost five years now. One of the things I enjoy most about my profession is flexibility: I can take my laptop with me and work from wherever I’d like, which is brilliant for someone who loves travelling a lot!
As I’ve always been keen on languages, I’m currently studying Italian and I enjoy it very much. To tell you a bit more about myself, I can mention that I’m a spirited person and sports enthusiast. I’ve always been a diligent swimmer but, about a year and a half ago, I took up football and it bewitched me. And I didn’t even like watching football in the first place! I always thought that playing it would be much more fun. And I was right. On the other hand, I’m also very fond of reading, and sometimes I find myself flipping the pages of a book for many hours non-stop, struggling to put it down. It’s one of my favourite hobbies.
I consider myself easygoing and friendly, although I can be a bit shy at first. I’m very organized and I like everything clean and tidy. I’m also flexible and open to new opinions. As regards animals, I love them! I have many cats and dogs at home, all rescued from the street. And last but not least, I love meeting new people and making new friends. That’s one of the reasons travelling appeals to me so much.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Florencia. Soy de Argentina y crecí en una ciudad pequeña llamada Casilda. Soy traductora e intérprete en inglés. Una de las principales ventajas de mi profesión es la flexibilidad. Puedo transportar mi notebook en la mochila y trabajar desde cualquier parte del mundo, ¡lo cual es genial para alguien a quien le encanta viajar!
Me apasiona conocer gente nueva y aprender idiomas. Actualmente estoy tratando de mejorar mi italiano. También me interesan los deportes. Hace casi dos años empecé a jugar al fútbol. Imagínense a una chica de 26 años (en ese entonces) aprendiendo a jugar al fútbol desde cero. Fue una experiencia muy divertida y, aunque suene increíble, aprendí un montón a maniobrar la pelota. Gracias a esta actividad, conocí un montón de gente nueva y me hice de grandes amigas. También me gusta mucho leer. No faltan las noches en vela que he pasado leyendo algún libro con el que me había “enganchado”.
Con respecto a los animales, ¡los amo! En casa siempre fuimos una familia muy numerosa, si tenemos en cuenta los integrantes peludos y de cuatro patas. Gatos y perros rescatados de la calle, cada uno con su propia personalidad y picardía.
