My name is Ophelia, I am 24 years old and I'm from Gothenburg, Sweden. I am a girl with lots of energy and always hungry for new experiences and adventures. I have always loved to meet new people and experience new cultures, and after my exchange semester in Shanghai in 2016 and our trip to South East Asia last year, my longing for exploring our world have grown bigger than ever.

My boyfriend, Pajam, and I are on our biggest adventure EVER - we are traveling around the world and Weare loving it!

Both of us are vegetarian (close to vegan) and we love food. We are really looking forward to get to know new cultures, people and try new, local dishes. We prefer non-touristy places and we wanna live like the locals, everywhere we go.

In our free time we like to discuss everything between heaven and earth, work out, eat delicious food and hang out with friends and family. Since a few years back I'm into photography and I love to document our travels.

We are really looking forward to all the new people and cultures we will get to know during our trip, especially all the future Couchsurfing hosts that will open their homes for Pajam and I, and surfers that wants to stay with us.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I believe that it is the absolutely best way to travel and get to know new places. Living in a hotel may be comfortable and so on, but that will never, ever let me really get to know the place I am currently visiting. I do not want to travel like a tourist, I want to live like the locals and is there a better way to do that than to live with one? I do not think so.

Moreover, I want to discover new cultures by hosting people from countries around the world and show people my home town and teach them how swedes live.

Cultures from around the world is one of the most interesting things I know, and I am certain that Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to experience these.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

In 2016 I moved to Shanghai all by myself to study Chinese for 3.5 months. It was super scary and I was terrified. But I did it, and it is without any doubt one of the best things I have ever done! While in China I volunteered as an English teacher for migrant kids twice a week. Twice I went by myself to rural China and lived at the schools and teached English. These kids gave me more than I could have ever given them, I will be forever thankful for those experiences.
