About Me

Please read full profile before applying

I am a 23 year-old Spanish nurse working in England. I love travelling and learning from different cultures and learning other languages.
I am responsible, honest, open minded, hard working and I love to have fun. I like meeting my friends and travelling. I am not very good at cooking, but I'm learning. You can teach me :)
I studied French for 7 years and German for 3 years but I don't use them much, so I can barely remember. I'd appreciate help with both languages too.

IMPORTANT: As I said, I am a nurse, so my availability to host depends a lot on my working time table.
I work 3 days a week, so give it a go!! I have another 4 days to host you :D

Please note that:
- If I have a day off, I will be happy to show you around and host you.

- If I have a long day shift, I need you to be out of the flat from 6:15am to 8:30pm. It is very important that you wake up early. If you don't wake up at 6am, and I miss the bus, you have to pay £7 (that's what a taxi costs to the hospital)

- If I have a night shift I can't host you, I'm sorry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning from other people and cultures. I love travelling and I understand that it might be expensive sometimes, so I would love to help others to travel saving a bit of money as well as teaching them some of my culture and the place I live in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like any kind of music, except for heavy metal, any kind of movies, except for horror movies and any kind of books except for school and uni books ;-D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16 years old, I started teaching English to little kids. I started to have more and more students and at the age of 21 I was already running my own company. I started an English academy in my hometown at the same time that I was studying nursing at university.
At the age of 23 I had a very successful company, I was economically independent from my parents, I had three employees, and more than 30 students.
Although it sounds like a dream come true, I decided to give away my academy and move to England to pursue my real dream of becoming a great nurse. I am still working on this last one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been an English teacher for 7 years before moving to England so I can help you with your English, and of course, your Spanish. I am not very good at cooking but I can show you some traditional meals from Spain and I expect you to show me some of your country food too. I'd love to learn how to cook some of your favorite meals.
I would also love to practice my French or German.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you English and Spanish and I can show you the area of Hastings.
I can offer you a warm shower and a friendly and warm environment, with lots of laughter.

I live near important cities in the UK by train.
Eastbourne: 30 min.
Brighton: 1 hour.
Gatwick Airport: 1 hour and 30 min.
London: 1 hour and 40 min.
