My name is Tom and together with my wife, Renée, I am traveling around the world for 9 months.
We are Dutch and live in the lively city Utrecht, which is in the center of our tiny country. We both love to travel, to see beautiful nature and to meet new people. Therefore we were very happy we could take some time of from work to explore the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We like to meet new people and to experience new things. We like to see the real places and get a bit away from the tourist crowds. We hope couch surfing will help us to get in touch with the local life. Before our world trip we have never used couch surfing. As we heard great stories from fellow travelers, we believed we should give it a try as well.
Furthermore, it would also be nice to show travelers Utrecht, once we get back home.
