Hello! My name is Frida Mercado, I'm 21 years old, I'm from Mexico City, I'm a girl scout since 2004 and for last but no less important... I'm a senior student of Engineering in Energy and Sustainable Development.

I love to travel the world and know new people that later turn into friends. I'm also a fan of new cultures (food, traditions, music, art, religion, etc!)

I'm a nature lover and whoever takes care of the world is my new best friend.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined couchsurfing because as soon as I started planning this trip my scout friends recommended me this hosting option.

I travelled to Toronto in 2013 for about a month. It was a different experience and I was in charge of an English school. That experience included homestay and it was an amazing experience because I got to know the everyday life of a typical canadian family.

Now I want to live this experience in a different way, taking couchsurfing as a perfect tool to meeting fascinating people.

Also in Mexico (thanks to the scout movement). I have lots of friends in different states and whenever all scouts are planning vacation or camps around Mexico we always extend the hand to our brothers and sisters. Nothing better than being well received in a different city with people from the place that knows it very well.

Hope we can extend more this help to the worldwide community. And of course my home is your home.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love pop music, either Latin or English. Also a little bit of electronic. Maybe classic music. I don't hate music, any gender has it own spark.

About books, I always tend to read most common best sellers and friend recommends. Every book is magic. Novels, drama or little story's.

And.... If we talk about movies I can say that I'm a Disney fan hahaha. Also action, drama, mysterious and comedy movies are in my favourite list. Not a huge fan of scary movies, I don't find them interesting.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The most amazing thing I have ever done, is making things by my own, I love the feeling of getting surprised of how capable I am about something I was doubting.

Face my fears and to take risks instead of living a comfortable live. I don't want that.

The perfect example is when I travelled to Toronto Canda alone. It was so risky and challenging for me to be by myself in there. I prove myself that everything is possible and that all I need is a smile in my face and a possitive attitude.

I can offer some laughs, great talks, experiences of my short life haha. Maybe hours of talks about my girl scout life style. And also my trustable friendship.
