Hey there! Welcome to my profile.

My name is Marcel and I grew up in a small village in Hesse, Germany. When I was younger my family and I traveled to different countries every year and when I graduated from highschool I continued doing so by myself.
I traveled and worked for more than 3 years abroad, the longest time I spent in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

Now I'm studying geography at the university of Innsbruck but I spend more time out in the mountains than sitting on my desk studying :-)

I'm here to meet people from different countries to learn about your cultures and your way of life. What I enjoyed most in my years of travelling were the interactions with strangers who then became good friends.
I also love to see different parts of the world and for me Couchsufing is a good way for doing that on a budget. Let's talk about our common interests, cook together and maybe have a few drinks or a big party. I'm open to pretty much anything.

音乐、电影和书籍

I like almost every music genre (apart from Schlager) but recently I mostly listen to Raggae, Goa or medicine songs. I watched most of the series on Netflix but my favourite of all time is Game of Thrones!!! I used to read a lot of fantasy novels when I was younger. Now that I don't read as much anymore I switched to non-fiction books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

After highschool I traveled to the other side of the world all by myself. I was 18 yo and when I arrived in New Zealand I had no idea what to do. But already at the Auckland airport I had the luck to meet another backpacker from Germany who I became friends with and because of that it was much easier for me to walk up to strangers and have a nice chat with them. Along my travels I met many like minded people from all over the world, learned about their cultures and had a fun time.
This experience taught me that it is so easy to make new friends and that it is always worth the discomfort in the beginning.

I'm interested in spirituality, meditation, breathwork and yoga. I like to exchange experiences about these topics and gladly give motivational input regarding working on oneself. I can teach Poi or some breathwork techniques and can give introduction into meditation if wanted :)
