Overview
About Me
An open-minded English teacher from Brazil who was born and bred in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Having family and friends around me is something that I find extremely important. My idea of a fun weekend would be simply sharing some lovely meal with those who are close to me and having a bit of a chat with them.
Although I might look a bit shy and reserved, I'm always willing to see new faces, meet new people and get to know their culture and way of thinking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, films and books, I have an eclectic taste...
Songs from Adele and Amy are on my playlists, just like Johnny Cash's, folk music and a couple of classic rock and disco tracks as well.
Fantasy works like J. R. R. Tolkien's and C. S. Lewis' are on my bookshelf. I truly believe we all have a lot to learn from fairy stories. Another author who I really like is Charles Dickens. The way he depicts the Victorian society is something that fascinates me, this means that titles like 'Great Expectations' and 'A Christmas Carol' have a very a special place in my book collection.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experiencing Rio 2016 and truly understanding what the Olympic spirit really means, which would be putting all sorts of differences aside, welcoming people from all over the world and celebrating human diversity in all its shades.
Teach, Learn, Share
Experiencing and learning different peoples' habits and customs is what I really want. Friendship brings people together. And, not only does international friendship brings people together, but it also makes different cultures to get closer from each other.
Although I don't have a sofa to offer at the moment, it'd be my delight to hang out with any of you who is thinking about coming to Rio de Janeiro. I'm not a professional guide, but I could show you some of Rio's major sights. And, if you want to get off the beaten track while here, please let me know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unfortunately, I don't have any special talents. My singing voice is quite bad and playing musical instruments is something that I just can't do. Well... I do have some cooking skills, but they are very basic like preparing instant noodles, for example.
Sharing ideas and experiences is what I have to offer to my hosts. I'm neither an entertainer nor a chef, but I'll be very very pleased to share my views on a number of topics with you and listen carefully to what you have to say about them.
