About Me

Hi! I'm Lucía from Buenos Aires, Argentina but I live in Berlin. I'm a feminist and a vegan, so if you have very strong arguments against any of those things, there's a chance we won't get along. Btw, I won't judge you if you eat meat in front of me (Ok, maybe a little, but I've been there too so it's ok, I'll wait for you on the vegan side of life). I like writing, watching TV series, reading, and basketball (just watching, I'm bad at playing). I love music, it's always been an essential part of my life (I used to play drums but kind of gave up because I suck. I recently bought some e-drums to kinda try again, but it's not happening so far). Concerts (as well as traveling) are one of the things that I really enjoy doing on my own, cause I somehow feel like it's just me connecting with the artist(s). I always want to get new tattoos and visit new places. That's what I'm living for, mostly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of strangers opening their homes to other strangers and the instant connection and familiarity which that creates sometimes. I've met incredibly nice people in this community and some of my favorite traveling memories are because of them.

Crazy thing about CS:
A guy hosted me for one night in Berlin in 2017, he was my very first host. By the end of that year I told him I was coming to Germany for some time. He offered to host me for a few days again. Then we were flatmates for a year and we're still good friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Arcade Fire, Phoenix, Cage the Elephant, Passenger, The Shins, Avenged Sevenfold, Kate Nash, Ska-P, Vampire Weekend, Linkin Park, Ice Nine Kills, Crown The Empire, Memphis May Fire, Escape the Fate, Falling in Reverse, etc etc. Depending on my mood, I can easily go to classical music to pop to post-hardcore to alternative. You never know.

Mark Haddon, Julio Cortazar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting some of the people I deeply admire. Traveling solo (big challenge for me). Moving to a foreign country with no plan at all.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn about other people's cultures, their lifestyles, their points of view. I'd also like to know new places and new experiences that could help me grow and open my mind.
I can share with others a bit about my culture and my language, the things I like, the music I listen to, the books I've read, the reasons why Luis Scola is the best basketball player ever. Among other things, I hope.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Talking, a little bit of cooking, some laughter, I hope, some Spanish classes, some stories about things I've done, ears to listen to their own stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Argentina, Germany
