Hi! I'm Lucía from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I got my translation degree last year, though I'm not working as such yet.
I like reading, writing, watching TV series, basketball and eating. Especially eating. I'm a recently converted vegetarian so I'm currently enjoying the never ending vegan and vegetarian products Europe has to offer. I LOVE going to concerts, I think watching the artists you like perform live is one of the most amazing experiences Ever.
I try to work on myself all the time, to go out of my comfort zone little by little to feel more confident.
I travelled abroad for the first time in 2017. First I went to Israel with a group of people. After that, I started an adventure on my own. I went to Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brugge, and then I travelled around the UK and went a few days to Ireland. It was an amazing experience, I learnt a lot not only about the world but also about myself, and I came back excited to keep on travelling and living new experiences. I left home again this month (March), this time only with a working holiday Visa for Germany and a ticket to Berlin. I wasn't planning on stay there, but you know how it is... Things happen. So now I'm living in Berlin until... I don't know, we'll see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think getting to know other cultures is super interesting, I love it when you start talking to someone from a total different place and you realize that you have a lot in common. We're all humans, after all.
Music, Movies, and Books
Arcade Fire, Phoenix, Cage the Elephant, Kate Nash, Vampire Weekend, Linkin Park, Ice Nine Kills, Crown The Empire, Escape the Fate, Falling in Reverse, Panic at the disco, Fall Out Boy, etc etc. Also, I sometimes listen to pop or classical music. A woman with many different faces.
Mark Haddon, Julio Cortazar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting some of the pople I deeply admire. Traveling solo (big challenge for me).
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn about other people's culture, their lifestyle, their points of view. I'd also like to know new places and new experiences that could help me grow and open my mind.
I can share with others a bit about my culture and my language, the things I like, the music I listen to, the books I've read, the reasons why Luis Scola is the best basketball player ever. Among other things, I hope.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Talking, a little bit of cooking, some laughter, I hope, some Spanish classes, some stories about things I've done, ears to listen to their own stories.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Israel, Netherlands, Scotland, Wales
