About Me

Hello, my name is Samuel Rubín and I am 22 years old. I graduated in 2014 on the universal high school and then I took a break, met a girl and took some time to reconsider, what I want to do. Since then I started to work a little bit, so I could afford to travel and enjoy my time before I get to university, which I felt I want to study. I studied also Sociology for one semester, but I pretty fast realized that its not what I was looking for, so I kept trying to get accepted to the Psychology. Now, 3 years after high school, I am finally getting back to school, which ia on the other side of Chechia, than the Prague is, as well as my family and all my friends. But I am very excited and I am looking forward to it.
I also love music (trying to play on the piano a little bit), paintings, riding a bike and I am very open to new experiences.
But there is one thing which making every traveling a bit more difficult. I am coeliac, which means I am gluten intolerant, which means that I have to eat special gluten free bread, pasta and everything, where can be found some gluten (mostly flour, but the flour can also be found in f.e. ham, chocolate or anything, that you would not even imagine), so I have to read every ingredients information on everything that I buy. But, well... If I can get a place to cook something, I will be just fine. 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've joined Couchsurfing so I could visit new places AND meet new people. Often, when I travel, I use to hitchhike, which also provides me an opportunity to meet locals, which I am grateful for. I wouldn't enjoy the holiday in different country, if I couldn't meet new people. And once you get hotel and tourist info flyer, it's pretty hard to meet some new people. One just get stucked in his own world without connections to the real spirit of the city.
So that's why I joined Couchsurfing.
