My name is Tara and I'm a student Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University. I'm 22 yr old, and I will start my internship in infectious disease in September at UBC, Vancouver, Canada. When alone, I tend to be quiet and read a lot. However, I do like to socialize and meet new people. I love exploring nature and learning more about the people and the country I'm staying in.

My favorite band is Imagine Dragons, though I also really like the music of OneRepublic and Kensington (a Dutch band, be sure to check them out if you haven't heard from them yet).

I'm very much a Potterhead and love all things magical. My head is generally stuck in some sort of fantasy novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Study for 1 semester in the UK. I loved meeting people from all over the world, from Mexico to Malasia and Australia. It really forced me out of my shell and showed me both the differences and the similarities between people.

It is a good thing to be different, as the world wouldn't be as interesting if everyone was the same.
