Overview
About Me
I'm a film maker in South Korea. I have made films since I was 18 years old.
This is my link. (https://vimeo.com/191009067) You can watch my latest film : )
I want to show people's life with films. I want to make people's lives and the world wonderful. When audiences watch movies giving a good message to them, they feel that they have to make a good environment for the future and present of the world, life. And I'm happy to look at people who feel happy because of my film's story. I'm satisfied at that time.
I love traveling. I want to see, feel, smell and taste a foreign country. It is everything interesting to me. Traveling gives me inspiration.
I'm an active person. I want to make foreign friends. They can make me think a lot. I know little information about world. If I communicate with foreign friends, I can learn more from them. Then I will be happy. So it's exciting for me to make new friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience real life in a foreign country. I like to make new friends. Just traveling is not interesting for me because I can't understand what foreigners think, feel, do, eat and how they communicate with each other when I go and see only place to take pictures to boast on instagram or facebook.
There are people's real lives. I need friends to communicate with me and teach me to know their culture. It is important to exchange thoughts to know each other. I want to know a foreigner's real life. I want to hang out with friends! I want to make friends! So That's why I'm on Couchsurfing!
Music, Movies, and Books
-Music-
I love classical music, pop and new age music. Especially, I like Japanese composer, Hisaish Joe, who made Totoro's sound track, Spirited away's sound track(name is Always with me) at GHIBLI Studio. It is touching my sensibility.
-Movie-
My favorite movie is Totoro. It is Japanese animation. I always cry when the animation is finished, because the story is beautiful. I love nature, spirit and God.
Also, I love movies like The Godfather, Cinema Paradiso, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Dark Knight.
-Books-
I love reading books. Recently, I read the art of loving by Erich Fromm. I realized love is important for a happy life and humanity. Nowadays, most people think that competition is better than cooperation. Everyone wants to win. So they fight with their friends.(we are all friends) So sad. People hate people. The world is going to hell. War, war, war. We have to cut hatred. We have to love each other.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was 18 years old. At that time, I had never made a film. I didn't know how to make a film. I have wanted to make films since I was 15 years old. I couldn't wait to be a university student to make the dream work. (In korea, high school students usually can't make films, except students in high schools of art, because of tests for university.) I had to learn skills for making film. But there were no film academies to teach me. I have been on Jeju island until now. The place is not a good location for film making. I searched information about film. I read books and did camera. I studied myself. Finally I made first film in my life. I was so happy. I appreciated my friends who helped me. We hugged each other. This is my amazing experience, because It was a really difficult job for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have made a lots of films and media up to now. And I have taught students to make movies with smart phones. So I can share my knowledge about making home videos for family and friends with smart phones. And I'm a good photographer. I can teach you how to take good pictures.
I want to know your culture. If you are an artist, show me your work. It will be interesting to me.
