About Me

A good sense of humour. A supportive (or so I like to think) and sincere friend. An amazing listener (I kid you not). Extremely chill about stuff. Open-minded and non-judgy. Appreciates good long talks about the meaning of life and the futility of existence. Gives pretty solid relationship advice IMHO. I like outdoors-y stuff but also indoors-y stuff (very specific and helpful, I know).

Erm.

What else would you want to know?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because in view of our great grand planet as a pale blue dot (woohoo Carl Sagan) in the vast, infinite, and careless space, the briefness of our lives and the fragility of human connection are nothing less than overwhelming and it helps to meet up with strangers and bond over that kind of stuff.

Also, because I'm (obviously) kinda broke-ish. But it's more about the bonding thing.

Also-also, now that I've actually couchsurfed, there is nothing like exploring places through the eyes and words of local people, who have thus far turned out to be wonderful, generous people, and (I hope) good friends for life in that I'm-here-if-you-ever-need-me sort of way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not give in to crippling nihilistic thoughts. Just kidding. But seriously.

Jumped into the whole couchsurfing thing on my own and yet managed to find what are probably the most amazing, bestest of the best hosts on this planet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you the languages I can speak.
Meals and recipes (mostly improvised).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Long, comfortable conversations. At least, usually. Or long, comfortable silences, if you like.
Knowledge about life, culture, and politics in Malaysia.
I will do all the dishes, cook some okay-tasting-and-sometimes-even-pretty-tasty meals (if there are grocery stores nearby), help you with laundry and vacuuming, and laugh at ANY puns you make.

Countries I’ve Visited

Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Malaysia, United Kingdom
