Why I’m on Couchsurfing

No special reason; for me, meeting people from other cultures and sharing our life stories is a joy in itself.

Interests

A faithful public transport traveller but learning to drive long distances for future road trips.

I find solace in anything outdoor and close to nature - bushwalking, hiking, canyoneering, cycling, etc. Did some rockclimbing a while ago and hope to get back to regular climbing soon.

I started photography, mainly to document the lives of people in places I travel to. Got myself a collection of portraits, each with a story I see with my own eyes and hear with my own ears.

I have a soft spot for anything crafty and DIY, and love to get my hands dirty. In fact, I'm gonna join SES next year so now I'm trying to pick up everything I can: fixing cars, using hand tools, etc. Willing to learn from anyone who doesn't mind a clumsy student :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• Climbed some little mountains
• Visited schools in rural Taiwan, learned about the teachers' struggle to keep kids away from video games and drugs
• Been to a refugee camp - humbled by the incredible people working there, seeing with my own eyes for the first time the effect of conflicts and wars
