About Me

I'm a typical Asian with medium height. I'm definitely sociable when I'm traveling. I have a very "Vietnamese" sense of humor, so you would need to explain stuff to me (me good at languages so don't worry :D ). I love music and might travel with my ukulele and I would be more than happy if I can learn more and join you guys for activities, especially music ;) I don't smoke or drink, and I'm a light-traveler (I don't have much stuff with me). I'm not fond of making noise anywhere but I'm not sensitive to it either. I mostly travel with my friends but we can share one bed/bedroom. I live healthily and not allergic to anything :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people as I've just been to the US for almost 2 years (my town in Oregon is not very exciting). I started traveling around earlier this year and I love it. However, I can't afford expensive accommodations, so I would be happy if I can travel in an affordable ways.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love learning new music, and so do my friends. We can sing, play some instruments, dance :)))). Classical, Electronic, Country music are my favorites. I listen to Reggae quite a lot.
I watched all kinds of movies: HP, LOTR, Casabianca, highschool musical :)) literally every kinds, and I would love share my interest as well as knowing yours.
I do read. Especially, crime, bible, scientific, history. Sherlock Holmes is my favorite, read it like 3 or 4 times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled more than 10 countries, experienced all kinds of culture. But I personally realized that my hometown, Hanoi, Vietnam, has the most interesting culture even I lived there my whole life. I just returned home after 2 years of studying abroad, I gathered my friends (5 other boys) to go on a trip to the very far East of the country. I love to know people's stories so I talked to every one we met on the way, on the bus, the "taxi" rider (like a taxi driver but on a scooter), a massager, a vet, etc. I took that not only as a way to get to new people but also as a lesson. I realized that in my country, there are still so many people striving just to live a normal life. But they are the most honest people that I have ever met. I cannot change much on my own, but I did my best to make that one day better to them by sharing my stories and listen to their stories - one thing I believe that does not happen everyday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm great with languages but I'm still learning, you are more than welcome to show me your interest as well as teach me more about your languages. I'm majoring in Mathematics and Biology but I love History, Arts and Humanities, we can discuss about any problems that I know and I am willing to learn from you guys about the recent events as well as Politics (I don't know much about it just yet)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share everything, accommodation, bedroom, toilet, etc. I'm very clean and neat, washing clothes probably one or twice during my trip. I'm more than happy to share meals with you guys. I can cook pretty well but only basic Asian food like beef stew, sweet and sour beef(chicken), veggie soup, Pho, etc. but lots of ingredient are required to make those decently. I can pay for stuff but I'm a international student so I'm very harsh with myself economically.

Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam, Wales
