About Me
Hi, I'm Laura. I study pharmaceutical chemistry and biology, I love working with genetics, snakes, frogs and bats.
I spent most of my time studyng or reading, but traveling to other countries has been an incredible experience for me. Learning about other cultures and seeing all the different landscapes is priceless and something I want to keep doing all my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Every time I had travel before it has been in hotels and resorts, I see couch surfing as an opportunity to really meet the people of the places I want to visit, something new and a way to connect in a hole different way (traditions and culture) with the city I wil be in.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music, from Adele to Soda Stereo and some (not too heavy) metal.
I'm really up to watching any movie.
I consider reading one of the most important thing in my life, I specially love science fiction and historical novels, but I'm always open to a good book recomendation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a biology student I have had a lot of field trips, going to the moor of Belmira was a particular experience because going all the way up there left me more tired than I ever had been before, but the view and the plant species that we found there made it all worth it .
Some first times were really special for me too: the first bat I saw up close, the first time I catch a frog on my own, the first snake I hold and the first time I went diving.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A different view of my country, all over the world Colombia is only remembered because its internal conflict and one of our worst moments in history when Pablo Escobar frightened the whole country. It happened and we should not forget our history, but Colombia is much more than that. The warm of our people, the beauty of our landscapes and the incredible biodiversity are some of the things that make me love my country and I hope I can share all this with the people I meet during my travels.
