我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

The reason I first got Couchsurfing was because I went to Krakow to meet a friend last year but she had a problem and couldn’t make it so I ended up alone and with nowhere to sleep. A friend of mine had told me about Couchsurfing so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try it out and it went so well that now I’d love to do it again to meet people in the next countries I visit.

兴趣

I love books, mostly fantasy, books about magic and all, I adore museums and art gallery. My room is just full of postcards and posters of paintings by Mucha, Klimt, Van Gogh, Degas. I’m literally the cliché French girl who lives for the Aesthetic.

My favourite books include The Picture of Dorian Gray by Wilde, Lullaby by Le Clézio and Deathless by Valente
My favourite films are Her, Romeo + Juliet and Pride. Special mentions for Harry Potter and Star Wars too.
As for music I like The Kooks, Lana Del Rey, The Royal Concept, Young The Giant, Halsey, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons. When I don’t know what to listen to I just search for “Indie Folk” playlists on Spotify

I’m a very curious person, I love to learn about literally everything. I love to learn about people’s culture, about their history, their language, their food, their art. I can talk about art and books and movies pretty much forever. I also love useless facts like how when potato first arrived in France people thought it gave leprosy and didn’t want to eat it so the king created a garden guarded by soldiers just for show, which attracted people who then started to think it must be a great vegetable if the king had it guarded. And this was all thanks to Mr Parmentier who convinced the king that potato could be a fine dish.
