Hello!
My name is Alma and I am a slovenian student. I study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, so I am currently living a little bit between both countries, Slovenia and Italy.

I am really interested in art. In many different kinds of it. Besides painting I really love music and I play the piano. I like experimenting in art, for example joining different types of it together. One of my favourites is the connection between painting and music so I am working on that right now.

I am also quite a sports fan, I like jogging, swimming, skiing, hiking and long walks if possible by the beach because I really love the sea.

I also like hanging out with friends by a cup of coffe or a glass of wine, going to the parties, concerts, galleries, exhibitions... And I love trying new food. I am cooking a little bit myself but I am not as good as I'd like to be yet.

Otherwise I like meeting interesting people, who are creative, open minded, with whom I can have deep conversations and learn something from them.

And of course I love traveling...

I always found it very interesting how people in every country are something special, something different, how food tastes different here and there, how music sounds in a whole other way, how art is like a complete new chapter in every country...

That's why traveling to me is so interesting, seeing those differences, getting to know other cultures and learn from them.

And couchsurfing makes it easier. It's a very nice way to meet people all over the world. And also by living with the locals you can learn a lot about their country, culture, lifestyle... So I think it can be a very special and unique way of traveling.

I am a real music fan so it's hard to decide what's my favourite one.
I could say that it's jazz, but I also really like tango, rock, flamenco, gipsy, classical... well I like all the good music.

I enjoy watching dramas, musical, good comedis and also the old black and whites movies.

I love reading poetry, novels, technical literature about certain fields, like art, psychology, philosophy, spirituality and also biographies of artists or other interesting people.
