Overview
About Me
I am an architecture student, an art enthusiast, a music lover (from the chillest of the folks to the hardest of the metals), drawer, photographer and a romantic in love with the world surrounding me.
I enjoy any kind of trip in which I can learn about a place and the people that inhabits it, so I can do trips on a tight budget to go immerse into the wild as well as I can enjoy museums, city night life, parks and historical places.
I am Peruvian, and I have lived by the beach for most of my life (I say most because I sometimes live in Colorado, the complete opposite), so I long to visit cold places that differ from everything I have seen before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I wanna travel the world and get to know people from other places to learn what they have to teach about life. I have always felt that making a connection with somebody different that me can help my vision of the world to expand and widen my perception on what's this all about. And I am pretty sure that I can do the same for anybody who wants to have me arund
Also, as an architecture student, I want to see as much beauty, both man made buildings and natural landscapes, as the world is able to offer, and I always thought the best way to do it was to just go out as far as I could.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
My favorite band ever is Belle and Sebastian (that is putting The Beatles aside, I always saw them as a kind of religious admiration more than a musical one). My list of favorite musicians and bands include: Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Bon Iver, Beach House, Jack White, The Lumineers, Local Natives, The National and Lykke Li. Though most of my favorite musicians play mostly folk music or a really chill rock, I am also really fond of Jazz (I just love Chet Baker), pop (being The 1975 one of my favorite bands ever), metal, etc.
Movies:
The movie I always go back to is (500) Days Of Summer, but I have to say that my favorite movie is Where The Wild Things Are. I really enjoy romantic movies, so my favorite directors are Woody Allen, Noah Baumbach and Spike Jonze.
Books:
I love poetry, my favorite poet being Pablo Neruda. My favorite book is a collection of poems called 20 poemas de amor y una canción desesperada (20 love poems and a desperate song) though rumour has it that he once translated Romeo And Juliet, so if I ever found that book it would surely be my favorite. Other writers I love include Alfonsina Storni, Sylvia Plath and Gabriela Mistral.
*Even though it is not a required entry I want to say that my favorite painter is René Magritte.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I managed to survive eating just cereal for a month because of my then lacking cooking skills. (It is not as easy as it sounds, trust me).
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been a language teacher before, so if anybody wants to learn Spanish or English, I am the guy.
I have quite a big collection of music from a lot of places, so I am good at curating playlists for any given situation or mood.
I know how to play guitar and ukulele fair well, so that's a plus for a bonfire or for anybody willing to learn.
I know the mystic arts of Peruvian cuisine and I can teach some of them.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The experience of living with an exotic Peruvian person! You can ask me about the llamas and other Peruvian things, like that weird giant park with a lot of cats. I can also help with keeping the house clean and running some errands.
