About Me

I am an enthusiastic and caring person with a keen interest in travel and experiencing new places and people. I am Irish but also have Australian citizenship after spending nearly 5 years there. I love animals and outdoors especially going for hikes or bike rides. I am a social worker and have returned to Ireland to work. I am very family and friend orientated. I love art and swimming.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel and meet new people. You can learn more about places and people by sharing with them. Also if I can I would like to help out other travelers who visit my area.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Ed Sheeran, The Coronas, Passenger, Adele along with low key bands are some music I love.

Movies: I love Tom Hanks as an actor and like most movies aside from horrors. I cant say my favourite movie as I generally watch them only once but loved Castaway, the Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, When a Monster Calls, bridesmaids etc.

Books: I like biographies and also loving my current book My Side of the Mountain. I also like Jojo Moyes books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done many things that I am proud of, particularly with work but also in my personal life. I have been working with vulnerable people for the past 10 years with a variety of social backgrounds and needs (child protection, drug and alcohol, disability, older people, asylum seekers, ethnic minority groups in Ireland and Australia, domestic abuse victims, people with mental health issues). I have assisted people in the extreme situations in their lives. I have also had amazing experiences travelling, sky diving, white water rafting, hotair ballons, jungle trekking, skiing, bunjee jumping are some of the extreme ones.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can describe life both in Ireland and Australia. I can cook. I have travelled to many countries. I have met and worked with people from every social background and with varying experiences and issues. I have many stories some of which I hope to write some day.
