Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Marcos, a passionate and open-hearted traveler from Nicaragua. I’m someone who values deep human connections, meaningful conversations, and the beauty of everyday life. I love singing, listening to music (especially classic and emotional pieces), and discovering old movies that touch the soul.
Languages are a window to culture, and I’m always eager to learn new ones – I believe each word carries a little bit of spirit within it. I’m also deeply connected to spirituality, personal growth, and the mystical side of life. Whether it’s sharing a good meal, laughing over a story, or reflecting under the stars, I enjoy moments that feel real and intentional.
Couchsurfing, for me, is not just about a place to stay – it’s about sharing kindness, stories, and the magic of being human.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that travel is not just about places, but about people. I love meaningful exchanges, shared stories, and learning from different ways of living and thinking. I see Couchsurfing as a way to connect beyond borders — soul to soul — with kindness, curiosity, and respect.
As someone who values deep conversations, cultural diversity, and spiritual growth, I find joy in discovering the world through the eyes and hearts of others. Whether it’s a shared meal, a walk through your favorite spot, or a spontaneous talk about life, I’m here for the kind of moments that stay with you long after the trip is over.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music that moves the soul — from classical and film scores to emotional ballads, indie folk, and a bit of Latin flavor. Some of my favorites include Ludovico Einaudi, Mercedes Sosa, Florence + The Machine, and old-school romantic ballads. I also love singing — it’s one of the ways I connect with myself and others.
I’m fascinated by films that explore the depth of human emotion, memory, and spiritual connection. Some of my all-time favorites are The Tree of Life, Blue is the Warmest Color, Her, The Fountain, and Interstellar. I love movies that make me reflect, cry, and feel something greater than words can explain.
I’m drawn to books that speak to the soul. I love Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke, and Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss. These books helped me reconnect with myself, my purpose, and the invisible threads that unite us all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled alone to a foreign country where I didn’t know anyone, with no set plans, just the desire to reconnect with myself. I wandered through unknown streets, trusted my intuition to guide me, and ended up finding a hidden spiritual café where I had one of the most meaningful conversations of my life with a complete stranger. That trip reminded me that when we let go of control, life often takes us exactly where we need to be.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good company, deep conversations, and a sincere heart. I love listening, sharing stories, and creating a peaceful and warm atmosphere wherever I go. As someone connected to spirituality and emotional intelligence, I’m always happy to hold space for reflection, gratitude, or even a little healing.
I also enjoy singing, so I can share some music from my culture (or sing something soft and soulful, if the moment calls for it). I’m curious, respectful, and clean — and always grateful for the opportunity to be welcomed into someone’s space.
