We are Bobbé and Amana, a Maldivian couple who moved to UK in 2012 and are now living in Southampton. We're both working full time, me as an analyst and Amana as an auditor. We both have boring day jobs so we love travelling and meeting new people as much as we can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We were introduced to Couchsurfing by my brother and his wife who hosted several people in their home in the Maldives and it sounded like a great idea to meet new people and make friends from all over the world. Not sure we will receive a lot of people in Southampton though as it is prolly not somewhere a lot of people visit, but hopefully we will be able to meet exciting new people.

We swam with whale sharks back home in the Maldives.

We can probably teach you some Maldivian words. After all only Maldivians speak the language and there is only 400,000 or so Maldivians. So you'll be learning something very unique for sure!

We can share some Maldivian cuisines for anyone wishing to stay with us. Prolly the closest you can come to being in Maldives while in the UK? :D
