One year ago I decided to quit my job for a year backpaper trip around North and South America. I wanted to travel since a long time but because of my work I was never able to do it. Now I'm 30 years old, still single, so I think it's now or never to do it.
I economised as much I could for this past year and here I am.
I started begin of march in Montréal and I really hope I will be able to reach Ushuaia one day.
I'm a shy boy and I hope this trip can change that but for that I need to meet people.
I know it's weard to be shy and work at a reception desk but it's totaly different at work for me, that's why I loved my job.
I'm not really fluent in english but I can speak english with everyone if they speak slowly. I want to be better in english, I need to exercise myself.
I'm a pets fan especialy cats. I spend my entire life with cats around and I already miss mine.
And honesly, someone who like cats can't be a bad person, right ?
I like history, speaking about politic, big cinema fan, rock music, also hip hop, watching sports at tv like nba, nfl or soccer. I like the ocean and sailing. I'm not really a great cooker but I like to do it...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do my trip to met people and even if airbnb is good enough for that, because of the money the feeling is different. Also sometimes you never see the owner and because I am travelling alone I really need some real human contact...As a lot of people, I don't like to be alone but I 'm also a shy boy so it can be a bit hard for me to met people in youth hostel. Met new people, who cares about me, one at a time seems to be the best way for me. That's why couchsurfing.

Interests

I love cats but I already told it, I like speaking politics to know what other people think about our world. Like a french expression say I like to "rebuilt the world" with others.
Music like almost everyone on earth.
After a life as a soccer fan I'm know a big fan of basket and nba, especialy like the last amazing finals, same for nfl, the last superbowl was one of the most amazing sport moment I ever see. I love to speak about sport.
And finaly I'm a bit geek and nerd. I'm fond of video games since megadrive when I was 6 years old :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of old 60's rock like the Beatles, the rolling stones (yes I like both), jefferson airplane, janis joplin, earliest Bob Dylan, the Doors and so on.
But also more recent stuff like the Black Keys, Oasis, Blur, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys and so on. I like Asa, Ben Harper, Chinese Man, Parov Stellar, Coco Rosie, Kendrick Lamar, Wutang,... And a lot of other things, I'm feel like an eclectic guy.

That the same for movies. I don't have a particular type of cinema, it's just good movies and bad movies :)

About reading I don't have a preference for a particular writter. I can enjoy reading Bazin, Hugo but also Clancy or Dan Brown... My last book was 1984...

I know I have no reference yet but that's because I 'm a newbee here. I'm use to be a roomate so I know good behavior in a house, especialy if it's not mine !
Even if I'm shy, I'm a happy guy with a big smile. I have not lot to "offer" but I promess, if it's possible, to cook french "Croque monsieur", or "courgette farcie" :) anyway, something french and tasty...
