About Me

Instagram: giuseppe.de.lorenzis

Hi, I’m Giuseppe, 33 years old and originally from Puglia, in southern Italy. I currently live in Innsbruck, Austria, where I have a cozy little 33 m² apartment.

I work closely with people with disabilities, and every day I’m inspired by their progress and the small steps they achieve in their learning journey. My job teaches me patience, empathy, and the beauty of appreciating the little things.

Traveling is one of my greatest passions – I love discovering new cultures, meeting people from all over the world, and learning different perspectives. I speak Italian and German fluently, and I can get by in English as well.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, playing volleyball, and taking moments for self-reflection. I’m also a big fan of board games and quiet evenings by the sea rather than wild parties. Some might find me a bit calm or even “boring,” but I like myself this way – genuine, respectful, and easy-going.

Starting in October 2025, I’ll begin a 6-month backpacking trip across Asia. I’m very curious and excited about what lies ahead and the people I’ll meet along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I love connecting with people from different cultures, sharing experiences, and learning new perspectives. For me, traveling is not only about seeing new places, but also about meeting locals, exchanging stories, and building genuine human connections. And of course, it’s also great that Couchsurfing is free – it makes authentic travel experiences accessible to everyone.
