I'm Shirley, 24 years old living in the Netherlands. Love exploring new places and have lived abroad in England, South Africa and Wales. I can speak Dutch (native language) and English (fluent), but I would like to learn better Afrikaans and Spanish is totally new for me. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of couchsurfing from a guy that I met in Rome. It sounds as a very nice way to get to know a country better by staying at a locals house. I would like to meet new people, learn a little bit of their language and of the place where they living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took the longest zip-line of the Northern Hemisphere, this was in North-Wales. The zip line was 1 km and speed was 90 km/h, such an amazing experience!!!
