I first caught the travel bug after traveling abroad for the first time, in my teenage years. Since then, I've had the chance to do some traveling around three continents: the Americas, Europe and Asia. I absolutely love solo traveling and have been doing that more intensely in the past two years, mainly around Southeast Asia. I also enjoy learning foreign languages, I find them fascinating and a great window into one's culture and society. Connecting with different people, getting in touch with different cultures and challenging my world views are the main reasons why I enjoy traveling so much. I think there's so much to learn from others and it's a pity if we were to limit ourselves to a specific geographic location.

I'm quite eclectic and don't have that many favorites. I really like Latin music and Brazilian music, and I absolutely love to watch soap operas produced in different countries - Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Thailand, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked to Machu Picchu when I was 18. At that time, I don't think I understood what that meant to me and my journey as a traveler, but that was my first ever solo trip. I was scared and excited, and I remember feeling so alive. It was beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach? In terms of practical and/or hard skills, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and any other language I can speak, if you're interested.
What can I learn? So much. I'm very curious and very knowledge-driven, so I'm open to learning as much as I can, from any person.
What can I share? I would share my couch, if I had one. I can share my travel stories and life experience, despite it being limited.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm good at collecting irrelevant facts about a bunch of random stuff. I love sharing them with people.
I can also share stories about growing up in Brazil and backpacking as a Latina.
Other than that, I can share recipes of yummy Brazilian dishes. I may not be able to cook them though.
