Overview
About Me
I'm a young openminded guy from Germany, that enjoys travelling to get away from the daily life we sometimes get caught up in and to collect new experiences and impressions. I just finished my studies in Sociology and Arthistory and am now looking forward to the next chapter of my life. Besides my studies I'm very interested in music and arts, trying to produce both myself. I play sythesizer and bass, sometimes electronic live-sets at partys and have an own Podcast called "Like dis, Like dat" where a friend of mine and I are playing vinyls we love to a topic of our choosing - sometimes even live at a local Radiostation. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, cooking, talking and discoussing topics from daily problems to greater social, philosophical and aesthetic problems and observations. Nevertheless I try not to take life too seriously and enjoy the moments while they last.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy discovering new places, but sometimes it's hard to find the right ones aside from the touristic and overrun. That's why I think it's nice to have some local giving you tips and maybe showing you his/her favorite spots. Places are only partially defined by their architecture, more so by the people living there, so to get to know a place, you have to get to know its inhabitant - at least thats my philosophy. I'll try to live up to that and hope for my hosts to think and act in a similar way.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music varys from time to time with different emphasis. At the moment I listen to a lot of jazzy Hip Hop as well as Funk, Disco, Soul and Latin music from the 60's and 70's. But I'm no stranger to rock music, which was the music of my youth.
My favorite Movie is the "Her" by Spike Jonze. Its topics of love and technology are relatable for everyone and its aesthetics and soundtrack are captivating.
As for books: I enjoy books by Herman Hesse, the Existentialists (mostly Camus and Sartre) and the mythical and bizarre shortstories by Edgar Alan Poe.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess the most amazing thing I've done so far was probably to host a own music- and artsfestival together with some friends that lastet a whole weekend. It was amazing how the people responded to our idea and we had lovely and diverse days.
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden
