Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 When I was younger, I liked listening to different kinds of heavy metal music, but now I’m more into post-rock, instrumental music, post-punk, classic rock (The Smashing Pumpkins is one of my favorite!), pop, rap, indie music, and some techno as well.

🎥 I like watching documentaries and series. I enjoy movies too, but I haven’t found my absolute favorites yet (haha).
Here are some of my favorite films:
“犴达罕” – A documentary about the Evenki hunter in China.
“算命” – A film documenting the life of a fortune teller in the early 2000s.
“BoJack Horseman” – An animated series on Netflix.
“Samsara” – A documentary without any dialogue.
I also enjoy discovering indie documentaries on YouTube. Recently, I came across a YouTuber named Raphael Treza, and his films are pretty cool!

📚 I rarely read books nowadays, but I used to love “Just Kids” by Patti Smith (and her songs too!). “To Live (活着)” by Yu Hua left a deep impression on me—I read it when I was very young, and it even made me cry. Such a powerful book!
I also own photography books by Daido Moriyama (森山大道) and Nobuyoshi Araki (荒木经惟), and I used to read poetry by Charles Baudelaire and Kahlil Gibran.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many… haha! But traveling to satisfy my curiosity is definitely one of the best ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach, help with, or share:
😋 I can cook some basic dishes (mostly Asian cuisine).
🧣 I know how to knit a scarf.
🚙 I can drive a car (or a motorcycle, lol).
🤿 I’m an Open Water certified diver (but I haven’t dived in a while… I might need a refresher before going underwater again 🤣).
👩🏻‍💻 I used to work in the manufacturing & trading industry—if you need sourcing advice from China, I might be able to help.
🗣️ Always happy to exchange languages! :)

What I would like to learn or receive from you:
🤟 I’d love to experience the authentic culture of your area instead of just relying on social media or Google.
🐈🐶🦜 Let me pet and appreciate your fur baby (if you have any).

Or, anything else you would like to share 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ummmm 🤔 I think I just wrote it above😂

But I believe the most important part is to communicate, share stories or moments together, to have some companionship, it doesn’t matter to do things or not to do things. Life is short and let’s connect :)
