About Me
***References from old profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/rowanandaudrey ***
My name is Aubrey, I'm from a small city in Canada called Brockville (along the boarder to the United States), and for the last 6 or so years I've lived in Ottawa while finishing my degree.
I love to travel and I love that there's a platform like this that makes it easier and more fun to do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Beginning in August 2019, my best friend and I are travelling for the duration of a year starting in the UK and working our way back towards Southeast Asia (where we've done a couple month or so-long trips that way throughout school).
I think couchsurfing is such a great way to meet new people who often share similar views on the world and who are able to give me a local's perspective on the place I'm visiting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We my bestfriend and I were backpacking through Bali and ended up paying a hostel owner to keep watch over our backpacks, packed a day bag each and rented some mopeds to drive around the north eastern rim of Bali for 5 days. We took a wrong turn and ended up lost in the mountains on all terrain roads. A local family who had a home up there ended up inviting us in for some juice and drew us a map of how to get back to the main road.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I'm fluent in English and French. I've also worked in advertising and happy to help with some basic social media or marketing (should that be of interest).
Learn:
We both love learning new languages, and skills. (Actively trying to learn Spanish).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to share my travel experiences so far. I'm more than happy to help with some cooking (very basic skills), cleaning and errands while I'm staying with you as well!
