About Me
I'm Tuï, a Dutch girl with a Thai name that means cute, tiny, chubby girl. I can't say that would be a description that completely suits me, but I can say I'm an extremely enthusiastic, caring, clumpsy and truly optimistic person. I love to learn new stuff, especially if the person who's teaching me is crazy passionate about it!
I myself can be crazy passionate about a lot of things! For example, I get superexcited about cool tools or campgear. I recently discovered I love woodworking, in my case a little dangerous though, I can get so enthusiastic I sometimes cut my hands :p I'm also a sucker for birthdays of people I like - I can go nuts baking cakes, making partyflags, cooking food and lighting fires to set an amazing atmosphere for a celebration.
I have a very steady and longlasting relationship with coffee, we've been together for years and we're still going strong! Not just any coffee though, instant breaks my heart a little, but a well-made one, with love and care, makes my morning :D I saw a guy once sipping his coffee through a straw, to protect his teeth from colouring. Well, in that case, I like my teeth yellow.
Other than people drinking coffee through a straw, I don't like pickles and get really annoyed when people try to get into a train before other people have had a chance to get out. I've had a traumatic gum incident which resulted in me absolutely hating it. Another thing I really don't like is when people are pretending to be someone they're not.
For me, the most important thing in life is to live it honestly. When I was growing up, I struggled with figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. I started my studies and, although I didn't really enjoy it, finished them. When I started working in an office as a Marketing manager, I quickly realised, this wasn't the way to get joy and fulfillment for me. So I quit, with the intention to try and do everything that enthusiasted me, until I didn't want to do it anymore. I started working in a bar, for I had always been curious how that would be, did some babysitting and I sometimes give sexual education to children at middle school (the latter is absolutely amazing!) This May, I quit my jobs to go hiking in Ireland and Scotland by myself and when I get back in September want to start studying again!
Edit: in the spur of the moment I impulsively bought a ticket to Sweden instead of Scotland!
