Hello! My name is Bethania! I was born and raised in Indonesia but I have been told I don't look very Indonesian :) Right now I am finishing my Bachelors degree in Ethnomusicology, which is just a fancy way of saying Music in World Cultures. It is hard to try to summarize myself, because people are more complex, but in a nutshell - I really really just enjoy life. I think there is something really beautiful in every person and culture and it is such a fun adventure to learn, explore and experience it all. I love to laugh and eat and sing. I love to hear different perspectives and talk about the meaning of life. I also really love the ocean, have a slight obsession with coconuts, and am definitely ok with eating rice for every meal.

I don't know if this counts as "amazing" or "I've Done" but I once went out on my motorbike when a volcano erupted near my city - and wiped out and had my engine fill up with ash and survived.

I can teach you Indonesian! Which isn't generally helpful but is very helpful if you want to go to Indonesia, and if you do I will get really excited and probably offer to be your tour guide because it is such an amazing country and everyone should go! I can also cook Indonesian and semi-decent American food. I can share stories about my travels, and very enthusiastically listen to yours. I will also probably have my guitar on me, so if you like music I would love to jam together!
