Trying my best to as often as possible be a reliable and open-hearted person. I enjoy spending time in good company learning new things from and with others as well as making new friends! Whenever music is involved it's often a huge plus.

I grew up in a small town called Åkarp in the far south of Sweden (not far from the bridge to Denmark). In January 2013 I started my medical studies (planned graduation in June 2018) in Linköping (about an hour train journey south of Stockholm) where I currently live with my girlfriend Maja Jonsson (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/maja.jonsson) who also studies medicine. We've been together since December 2013 and she's the most amazing person I've met. In addition to being incredibly social and kind to everyone she's my greatest inspiration constantly developing and completing me with creative, as well as rational, ideas and solutions to the everyday struggle.

Alongside the studies both enjoy spending time in the kitchen. We'd love cooking for potential hosts and learning how to make new dishes and pastries! Music is another great interest of ours and, especially, choral singing. I sing in a student's choir for men, and Maja sings in the corresponding female choir at the university. Every now and then our choirs get together and perform works for mixed choirs as well as partying where plenty of singing is always included. The choir and music community sure is a great one!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend Maja (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/maja.jonsson) and I are taking a summer off this year to travel in the US by car visiting different states and cities. We're really excited to experience the cultures and environments of the country. For us this is a perfect break in our lives at campus before heading back to our studies in Sweden (and to my last year at the university).

I got the great advice from Maja of joining this site where the chances of meeting new people and making new friends hopefully could grow even larger!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most genres of music are enjoyable. Some of my favorites are funk(-rock) and pop(-rock). Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the top favorites!

A bit of an embarrassing confession of mine is that I've never read through the "Harry Potter"-series. Yet, I am planning on running it on audio book in the car this summer. I think I would really enjoy the books though (yes - I've seen all movies, but I don't expect the books to be quite alike - maybe even better?)!
